FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Will Jeska Toques be available in the clothing line? I really like the two that are in the picture. Jeska is still shopping around for a clothing sponsor. So far, we have discussed propositions with Gap, Abercrombie and Fitch, Levi's, Santropol and Parasuco. Gap seems to be biting our JeskaTuque pitch. Basically, yes, Jeska Toques will be available in due time. Where does the group live? All members currently live in Montréal, Québec, Canada, although none of them are actually from Montréal. Steve is from Pittsburgh, PA; Evan is from Dallas, Texas; Jon is from Vancouver, BC; While born in Winnipeg, Aryeh is really from Fargo, ND; and J.D. is from Toronto, ON. Are any members on the internet? Yes, but to protect their personal privacy, their addresses are currently private. You can leave them a message on the Contact page. How did the group meet? The members of Jeska all met while studying jazz at McGill University. All five members hold positions in the globally recognized McGill Jazz Orchestra I. Steve is completing his masters degree and currently teachers and directs the third big band at McGill. How can I contact the group? You can easily contact the group using our Contact page. How can I book Jeska for a concert or workshop? To have Jeska perform at your venue, please contact our booking manager. We are also available to conduct educational demonstrations. Who does the composing? Jeska is truly an ensemble in that all members of the group compose. The compositions are more than just a vehicle for improvisation - they are usually strongly associated with extra-musical influences. Are Jeska's lead sheets available? We currently do not have any lead sheets publicly available, however, we may consider doing so in the near future. Stay tuned. |
